LOCKDOWN
To me it meant a lonely day,
It meant I can’t go into town,
“This just can’t happen it’s so unfair!”
I greeted each day with a frown.
But no one’s told the birds not to fly,
Or told them not to sing,
I look up at the big, blue sky,
And see the clouds still rolling by.
No one’s told the wind not to gust and blow,
Or warned the sun not to come out,
Or told the streams not to flow.
Nature takes us over,
Just keep your family close,
Take the time to think and remember
All those you love,
Look towards your future and
keep faith in God above.
