This year's Broadstone Community Fun Day takes place on Sunday 7 July on Broadstone Recreation Ground from 12.00 – 4.30pm.
Started in 2012 to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, this event is now in its 8th year and attracts over 2000 people.
With events to suit all ages, the intention is to provide a whole day out for the community by the community.
The fun day is run entirely by a very small group of volunteers including 2 church members. It includes arena events, car show, dog show and a donkey derby plus around 60 stalls from community groups and local businesses.
An event of this scale requires a significant number of people to offer to help on the day for an hour or two – as marshalls, direct traffic or to help set up beforehand (as the recreation ground is transformed in just a few hours in the morning).
If you would be prepared to help with one of the largest events in Broadstone's calendar, then please drop an e-mail to email@example.com.
