Sue took up her post as Minister of this church in September 2015. She works as part of the Ministry Team covering the mid section of the Poole Bay Methodist Circuit. She is married to Colin and they have a married daughter Rebecca. Rebecca and her husband Tim have a three year old daughter, Phoebe.
Sue first came to faith in her forties and left a career in the law to train at Sarum College, Salisbury where she gained a 2.1 BA (Hons)(Surrey) in 2008. She was ordained a Methodist Minister in 2009 and has been in ministry since 2007, working in and around the Bournemouth area.
She and her colleague Rev Dr Mark Kimber have pastoral charge over four churches: Broadstone, Lytchett Matravers, Poole Methodists and Upton together with Methodist Homes for the Aged at Maidment Court. They also work alongside Karen Greene, the Children and Young Families Worker at Broadstone Methodist Church.
Sue says: "I feel hugely privileged to be Minister at Broadstone Methodist Church. It is a large, active and vibrant church family which seeks to show and share God's love within the village and surrounding area of Broadstone. I am, as ever, in awe of the hard working team of lay members from the church family here, who put their faith into action diligently, lovingly and wholeheartedly on a daily basis.
Preaching the Good News of Jesus is central to my call to ministry as is nurturing, guiding and caring for my church family at Broadstone."
In her spare time, Sue enjoys reading, knitting and spending 'Nan time' with her granddaughter.
